Two days of Independence Day celebration in Frisco. Dog races and fashion on July 3rd, then a 5K, a cornhole tournament, a block party, live music, classic cars, and fireworks on the 4th.

The Frisco Freedom Fest is back for two full days of Independence Day celebration, and this year it carries extra meaning as the country marks America's 250th birthday. July 3rd kicks things off at Kaleidoscope Park with Paws and Stripes, a beloved dog competition and fashion event the whole family will enjoy. July 4th brings a morning 5K, a cornhole tournament, and a full patriotic block party at Riders Field with live music, classic cars, food trucks, and the signature Freedom Fest fireworks show lighting up the sky around 10:00 PM.

Paws and Stripes at Kaleidoscope Park

Freedom Fest officially gets underway Friday evening with Paws and Stripes at Kaleidoscope Park from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Three dog-centric events take over the park and registration is $10 per event. Whether you are entering your pup or just coming to watch, this is a genuinely fun evening.

Dachshund Dash
The fastest wiener dogs in Frisco race 10 to 15 feet in their chute. Five heats with one winner each, then a grand champion finale. AKC standard height of 10 inches or less required.

Runway Rover
A dog fashion show with awards for Most Patriotic, Best Wigglebutt, and Best Talent. Sponsored prizes for each category winner.

8:00 PM
Corgi Clash
Corgis take to the race chute in five heats with a grand champion finale. AKC standard height of 13 inches or less required. Two handlers needed per dog.

Start Independence Day with the Party in the USA 5K at Harold Bacchus Community Park. New date, time, and location for 2026. Registration is open and a great way to kick off the 4th before the rest of the day's festivities begin.

The cornhole tournament at Kaleidoscope Park is a great midday addition to the holiday before the block party gets started in the late afternoon. Check the Freedom Fest website for registration details.

The main event of Freedom Fest takes over Riders Field from 4:30 PM with a full patriotic block party in the ring around the ballpark. The opening ceremony begins at 5:30 PM. Throughout the evening there is a classic car show, food trucks and trailers, live music and entertainment, booths from Frisco Police, Frisco Fire, and Play Frisco, and local veterans organizations. Kids can write Letters to Troops at a dedicated station throughout the night.

The evening closes with Frisco's signature fireworks show lighting up the sky around 10:00 PM following the RoughRiders game.
