On July 8, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was read publicly for the first time. This July 8th, 250 years later, Frisco joins communities across all 50 states and 16 territories in reading it simultaneously. The Heritage Association of Frisco and City of Frisco host an ice cream social at 4:30PM, the nationwide reading at 5PM in the Gazebo, and a screening of National Treasure inside The Depot. Free and open to all.
Frisco Freedom Fest returns July 3rd and 4th for two days of Independence Day celebration. Friday evening kicks off with Paws and Stripes at Kaleidoscope Park featuring dachshund races, a dog fashion show, and the Corgi Clash. Saturday brings the Party in the USA 5K at 8AM, a cornhole tournament at Kaleidoscope Park at 11AM, and the full patriotic block party at Riders Field from 4:30PM with live music, a classic car show, food trucks, and the signature fireworks show around 10PM.
Frisco has two great options to watch the USA vs. Turkey FIFA World Cup match on Thursday, June 25th. The Rollertown Beerworks watch party starts at 5PM with giant-screen viewing, VIP seating, and tournament cocktails. The free Party on the Pitch at Tostitos Championship Plaza at The Star kicks off at 9PM for a full match-day celebration under the stars.
